Towns

This part of the site is focused on where the pre-1970s brewing businesses of Scotland were located.

In Table View you can sort by the name of a county, and whether it is a modern county (i.e. today's regions) or was an historic one. You can also filter by typing part of the name. So if you are looking for an area which contains the place 'Aberdeen', just type 'Aberdeen' in the 'Search' box.

In Map View just click on a marker of interest and you will be provided with the dates between which a brewery was active and an opportunity to look at a more detailed overview. Markers will often overlap in towns and cities which had multiple breweries so you may have to enlarge the map to allow you to select a specific one.
