Robert Mailer

Robert Mailer was a brewer from at least 1841, when he was recorded as living at Ruthvenbank. He was then recorded as living in Feus in 1851, and was the tenant of the Feus Brewery from at least 1858. His son Robert, a local solicitor, was the owner of the brewery in 1858, which he sold to Donald Farquharson, of Scott & Co, in 1861, around which time Robert senior had become a wine and spirits merchant.
