Aberdeenshire covered a smaller area than its modern counterpart, but included the city of Aberdeen.
It was home to a number of substantial brewing businesses in the 19th century, with Aberdeen having around ten at its height. Fraserburgh and Peterhead also had a number of brewing businesses.
