Area Type: Historic
The historic county of Haddingtonshire was home to several breweries, including those of John Fowler & Co Ltd of Prestonpans, the Nungate Brewery of Mark Binnie & Co, of Haddington, and the Belhaven Brewery of Dudgeon & Co of Dunbar. Of these only the Belhaven Brewery has survived, which has claims to be the oldest operating brewery in Scotland.
